Will I go to jail when I refuse to buy health insurance?

In: Health Insurance

I will never be told by this corrupt, unjust government to buy health insurance. Once they start doing that every other freedom U.S. citizens have will be gone also

If it is a form of tax, you have no choice, it will just be deducted from your paycheck.

Will you be “told by this corrupt, unjust government to buy auto insurance”? Or forced by “this corrupt, unjust government to buy mortgage insurance”?

If you don’t like the laws of your country, quit whining and work to change them, or leave!

They will send you to jail but they will say it’s because you violated some other law such as the tax code. They can always find a another reason if they really want to look.

The House bill on “Health care reform” does state that if you don’t get insurance you will be fined. If you still refuse you can go to jail. A little overlooked feature of the bill is that private insurance will go up at least $5000 a year. This is according to the Congressional Budget Office. If you don’t know that is a department that totals up the cost of every bill our Congress wants to pass. If you want to know why the bill would raise the cost of insurance you only have to listen to Obama’s own words.

Under the plan it’s possible. I imagine they won’t be looking for every person with special squads but, you’re name would be turned into a collection agency of some sort. Possibly a warrant for your arrest issued, if you then got pulled over for a traffic violation you’d be jailed. It’s only the start. Things are likely to get much worse. Now that we’ve set the precedent of allowing the government to decide if something should be done even though the constitution doesn’t necessarily allow or prohibit it, they’re likely to make a lot more changes. Sort of like, everything goes as long as the constitution doesn’t prohibit that action. That’s the big difference between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives see the constitution as a rule book that protects the rights of the citizens, liberals see it as a hindrance to governmental powers.

I don’t believe so, it’s supposed to be a $750 fine which they can take out of your paycheck, but that will probably change when they cause the insurance companies to collapse. You already pay a surcharge for Medicaid, plus Social Security, and lease your land if you have property taxes. You don’t have the right to form a militia, nor does your governor, you have to get permits to gather firewood on public land, obtain a license to fish or hunt, even on your own property, and pay extra for your “911″ emergency number which may or may not work. You do not have the right to sue any legislator who put through a law which got someone in your family killed wrongly. And good luck with trying to get an actual criminal put in jail.

You bought auto insurance when the government told you to though, right? Come on, you don’t really think that shit happens in this country without the corporate jackals having their paws in it, do you? I actually support the idea of the richest countries in the world providing health care for their citizens. What is the job of government if not to improve the aggregate standard of living for its people, but allowing a corrupt industry to have government mandated products is just wrong. If we wind up in jail for refusing to participate, I call the top bunk..
