There are basically two types of agents: I think we are looking forward to retail brokers, who talk with clients.

2nd Discount brokers like ETFC, Scott, black, Fidelity, etc. will not take any decisions about any type of customer accounts, including that they do not have the power for the customers to trade. Customers are all business decisions. By eliminating the full-service broker, the customer will receive a Trading Commission, but the customers are fully understood on their own to the market and their own plan.

3rd Analysts can cover stocks or sectors. They publish their views in a full-service business and the business can be noted that the brokers. Brokers can advise customers that information and discuss with the client to determine whether a change in its general strategy, or is not required.

Analysts are not always correct, and customers long-term goals may be different in the short term from the perspective of the analysts.
