Find Good Info
In: Life Insurance
23 May 2010We just had a Primerica representative come in our house and try to tell us why we need life insurance.
I do agree and I would like a term life insurance plan, but am not sure if I want to go with Primerica. They are not the cheapest and I read some good and bad things about them.
Can anyone recommend some alternative companies?
How is Transamerica? They seem to pop up in the top 10 insurance company list a lot.
This is about reference of insurance questions information.

My husband sold life insurance (door to door) for several years. Please take my advice and do NOT get a term policy. It may be cheaper than whole life insurance (marginally), but it’s totally not worth it. You live past the age of 80, for example, and ALL the premiums you’ve paid over the years are gone down the toilet.
Seriously–those guys who sell insurance work SOLELY on commission, so half the time they’ll tell you anything to get you to buy a policy.
Your best bet would be to talk with an actual insurance agent about getting a policy (State Farm would be a good starting point for you). Reputable companies like that won’t steer you wrong!

You are posting in the wrong category.
Yahoo should be moving or deleting a lot of these questions. This question is actually posted in a section about PARENTING etc; it’s not a section FOR insurance.
The categories were created so we can find the questions we want without looking through a bunch of unrelated questions. Please respect the category system that Yahoo has created here.
