Where can I find term life insurance that doesnt penalize me for participating in hiking(risky sports)?

I like to do day hikes and some snow climbing with no technical equipment, and overnites. I recently attempted to get term life insurance only to find extra charges because of my sport of choice.

Insurance is based on the risk that is being protected. You have raised the risk, therefore you are being asked to pay more. Since you were rated by one company, and they share that information with all companies.

I would advise you to look at a whole life policy. I doubt that you are going to quit taking risks in the next ten years. You are more likely to get underwriting to accept a whole life policy unrated.

Who did you go to–Louie’s Insurance Co.? True, your risks would make you ineligible for a year or too, but that’s temporary. More to the point: how old are you? Are you married? How many children and how old? Who are you protecting against the loss of your income in the event of your death? If none of the above applies, you simply don’t need life insurance at all. The object of this life is not to make somebody else rich when you die, you know.

Yes. That makes perfect sense. Pilots pay more as well. If you take on more risk, expect the company to want a higher risk premium.

You are not being “penalized.” You are being charged according to the risk you represent (voluntarily, in your case).

lifeinsurance.awardspace.info – try this one. I have their insurance and, as remember, they can provide such a service.
