all I can say is call your ins. agent , everyone is different .. I have State Farm , I wouldn’t leave them for any discount ins. company . I have heard nothing good about some advertised low rate motorcycle ins. with there claims . my wife had a claim on her bike through state farm , and they handled it fast and complete

There are way too many variables for anyone here to answer. You need to call around to insurance companies to get quotes on the type and engine size of the motorcycle you plan on getting.

It depends on the type of bike. If you fancy a sport bike, like a CBR , R-bike, or GSX-R you could expect to pay in excess of $2000 per a year. 600cc bikes fall in this range.

Dirt bikes are cheaper.

If you where to buy a geezer bike like a Goldwing or a Concours, they would be considerably less.

I am a 47 yr/o female I ride a Triumph Tiger and a Speed Triple. I pay about $350 per bike per year. I would suggest you try markel insurance which insures all sorts of bikes and riders.

It depends on your driving record, your previous experience, whether you’ve taken a training course (like an MSF), and the motorcycle you ride. The amount of insurance you get and to a lesser extent the company you go with also play into it, but stay away from GEICO; they will drop you in a heartbeat instead of paying out a claim, and they are all just douchebags.

A couple of tickets with a 20-year old newbie on an R6? $5000 per year, ballpark. Previous experience, an MSF course, full gear, a clean record and a Honda Rebel? $1000 per year.

34 year old wearing full gear with an MSF course on a sportbike? $400 per year for full coverage.

Insurance is very individual because it’s based on your drivers record, sex, age, and a number of other variables such as location, credit rating and type of vehicle being insured.
The easiest way to find the cheapest auto insurance in the USA is to fill one form at
