Not exactly true. They cancel you for misrepresentation if you don’t have a foundation (basement or slab). The application you fill out, asks about the foundation. If you say, no foundation, they won’t write the policy. If you say foundation, you’ve lied, and they cancel you for that.
The problem is, if you have no true foundation for your “home”, it’s not really a home – it’s a trailer. Sure you live there, but it’s a depreciating structure, NOT a true house. Trailers don’t qualify for homeowners policies – you need a trailer policy.

It will not drop you because of that. We do not have a basement and we have h o ins. at a reasonable rate.
