How does this new health care bill help people with no health insurance, no kids, no job, and no money?

Is the IRS going to fine and possible jail this category of Americans! So many people are unemployed because of the state of the economy! I don’t see companies eager to hire now that they will have an added expense under this new health care bill! So I ask again, what happens to a person who has been laid off, no children, no income, no money to buy health insurance? Does this bill fine them and possibly jail them when they can’t help their situation?

This bill means that health insurance is REQUIRED, meaning you will get free health care (paid for by the government; other people’s tax dollars) if you can’t afford it. Calm down.

So if a poor person is forced to get government run health care—well doesn’t that sound like a socialist country? This bill is BAD NEWS

No Ayn Ms. Rand. No one is going to jail and any fine would not exceed the cost of the health insurance. The law is intended to encourage compliance, not be punitive. Everyone is the US should have access to health care. Until now they have been shut out because of greedy insurance companies or lack of income. Poor folks who can not afford it will get financial assistance, not fines. It’s about time the US health care system got serious and actually provided services for all people, not just the rich. Why does the US have such a high infant mortality rate compared to western European countries? Why are longevity rates in the US not equal to those of other industrialized countries? It’s because the poor people are excluded from the system.

The new Health Care Bill does Nothing to help all the normal Americans. Like most Government welfare it will only help ‘the poor’, kids and ‘minorities’. If you are an average Middle or below Middle class person, you will be screwed.

If your a single white male, age 30, who just lost his job…you will now be forced to buy Health Insurance. With NO help from the government. In other words, he will just have to pay the fine. To use a real example-My health care costs $500 a month, an impossible sum even if I had a job. Will the Government ever give me $500 to pay that($6,000 a year)? Even now COBRA only pays 2/3’s, why is that not 100%?

And anyway, unless the fine for Not Having Health care is $501(or $6001 if they bill you at the end of the year) then people will just pay the fine. So if you have to pay a $100 fine for no health care a year, that is better then $6,000(not that you could pay that anyway)

And health care costs will NEVER go down. It will never be anything affordable like $50 a month.
