I am single, 28, no kids, and self-employed. It is so hard finding insurance I can afford. Has anyone had great luck or know of a solid, good health insurance company that would be inexpensive? Ive tried going online to search but i keep getting the same companies that want to charge me way too much.

Find a local independant agent. They can access many companies for quotes based on your medical and financial needs. This includes companies that specialize in self-employed individuals. They can also explain the differences in benefits and coverage to make sure you get the most for your insurance dollar.

Well, it’s going to cost you about $300 a month. If you want to pay less, take a $5,000 deductible.

They don’t charge what you can afford, they charge what it costs. Just like, you won’t fly out to TX to do for me, whatever you do as a self employed, for $5 – it won’t cover your costs.

You need to talk to a local, independent agent to get quotes. But if you’re looking for a Cadillac, brand new off the lot for $25 bucks, or a health insurance polciy for $50 a month, it’s like that unicorn – not out there.

With health insurance, you really do get what you pay for.
