Big insurance loves it. That’s why they gave so much money to the Democrats through lobbyists.
What better way to help big insurance companies than to make insurance mandatory? Honestly, shouldn’t be too hard to think about that one.
Big corporate America loves buying government power to get special privileges in the market through government force.

If it has no public option, it is an enormous win for them. If there is a public option that cuts into their base, which is to say a public option stronger than any likely to pass, it is not good for them, but is by no means a real problem for them. Best case scenario for them is if a bill is passed that demands everyone get private healthcare without any cost controls. To the extent that there are any price control mechanisms it is hurting their bottom line.

It’s bad for them but it’s worse for the economy as a whole.

Well his plan will require all Americans to carry insurance so it’s making healthcare providers richer. Problem is many Americans can’t afford insurance and won’t be able to afford what the government will mandate and be penalized for it. So health insurance providers get richer and struggling Americans get squeezed like the remnants of toothpaste from the container. There’s only so many times you can squeeze the struggling for a buck.
