Find Good Info
The following statement was in a newspaper: “The VA hospital charges me $24 for a three-month supply of medicine. I can get the same thing at a retail pharmacy for $10. What’s up with that?” With that in mind.. are we really going to trust the government to regulate all of our healthcare? Seems like a very bad idea to me.
This is about reference of insurance questions information.

I think you are very smart for looking into this. I think all consumers will still have to review everything should the Government regulate a better health care service for everyone. I think their target is to help the elderly as well as people who are under insured and with no insurance at all. I think it’s a great idea but there is always fine print somewhere that you will have to look out for. People will have to do their homework and review exactly what they will be offered.
This is a very good question and you brought up a good point.
Hope my point of view helped.

OK, insurance, basically, is the exchange of a small amount of known premium from you, for a large amount of unknown payment, potentially, from the insurance company. If you need someone to explain why insurance makes sense, from a financial planning point of view, well, you just aren’t a good money manager.
That’s the question in bold.
Now, for the secondary question. I sure as heck don’t trust the government to do ANYTHING in an effecient or sensible, or particularly effective manner. They CREATED the whole AIG crisis, with their own legislation, “Sarbanes-Oxley”. They’re going to CONTINUE to create crises that will “require” massive spending, until the whole system here flat out collapses.

The local pharmacies are losing money (on purpose) on their $10 or $4 generic prescriptions to get in you the door. Its called a “loss leader”.
But I hate the idea of gov’t in our healthcare for a wide variety of other reasons!

How did you jump from a newspaper article about the VA to proposed health care “reform”?
