Auto Insurance For 18 Year Old ?

In: Automotive Insurance

20 Dec 2009

I’m looking for the least expensive automotive insurance and was wondering what would be the typical monthly payment for an 18 year old driver who has had one accident about one year ago.
i have one quote from my moms insurance company (USAA) that came to 110 a month and the top of the line was 160 a month.

$110-$160 a month for an 18 year old with an accident? and you didn’t jump all over it? what’s wrong with you? Call them back first thing and accept it, it won’t get much better than that. And remember, infractions stay on your driving record for up to 3 1/2 years AND they generally check your credit for an insurance quote, so your rate is based on many different factors. Make sure you give them the actual VIN number from the vehicle you will be driving for an accurate quote.

My son didn’t get his license until he turned 18 and he had NO previous accidents. For the lowest liability, it cost him around $250 a month. I would definitely call them back and take it.

Call AAA for another quote. 110-160 a month isn’t bad though.
